BANGKOK HIGHLIGHTS TOUR

Start your day with a hearty American breakfast at your hotel. Our guide will pick you up from the hotel for a full-day cultural exploration of Bangkok.

Begin at Pak Khlong Talad, Thailand’s largest flower market. Stroll through vibrant stalls of flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Try local snacks, watch artisans create flower garlands, and even try your hand at making one and decorating lotus flowers—just as locals do before visiting temples.

Continue on foot to Wat Pho, one of Bangkok’s oldest temples, home to the majestic 45-meter Reclining Buddha and the original school of traditional Thai massage. If timing allows, you may witness the serene morning monk chanting.

Next, visit the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew)—a spiritual landmark housing Thailand’s most sacred Buddha image, carved from jade.

From there, walk to the pier for a long-tail boat ride through the canals of Thonburi, catching glimpses of local life. Stop at the striking Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), once a royal temple of King Rama II.

Then enjoy a Tuk Tuk ride to Chinatown, exploring Yaowarat Road and the lively Talad Kao Market, filled with herbs, spices, fresh produce, and traditional Chinese goods.

Wrap up your tour with a drop-off at your choice of:

  • MBK Center – a favorite shopping spot for tourists
  • One Bangkok – the city’s newest luxury shopping and lifestyle complex
  • Or your hotel

Important Notes for the Bangkok Tour:

- Temple Dress Code:

  • Women: Short- or long-sleeved tops with full-length trousers or knee-length skirts.
  • Men: Trousers with short- or long-sleeved shirts.

- Not allowed: Sleeveless tops, shorts, mini-skirts, see-through clothing, tights, culottes, flip-flops, or sandals without ankle/heel straps.

- Grand Palace Entry: Please bring a copy of your passport for the security check. Strict dress code applies (see above for details).

- Monk Chanting at Wat Pho: This ritual takes place in the morning only and is subject to change without notice.

- Street Food on Mondays: Due to local regulations, street food stalls and some shops are closed on Mondays in Bangkok.

This morning, your tour guide will welcome you at the hotel’s lobby to begin your exploration of Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992, renowned for its beauty and grandeur. Angkor Wat is famous for having the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology.

Next, continue to the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). Highlights here include:

The South Gate, adorned with massive statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk.

Bayon Temple, known for its 54 towers, each decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara.

In the afternoon, visit one of the area’s most beautiful temples, Ta Prohm (mid-12th to early 13th century). Begin your day with an optional early start at 5:30 AM to witness one of Laos' most sacred and moving traditions: the Tak Baat ceremony. Watch as saffron-robed monks quietly walk the streets to collect alms—typically sticky rice—from the devout local residents. This serene ritual is unique to Laos and a rare glimpse into a deeply preserved Buddhist practice.

Breakfast at your hotel.

Afterward, enjoy a Tuk Tuk tour of the city. These iconic three-wheeled motorized rickshaws—introduced from Japan in the 1930s—are now a beloved part of daily life across Southeast Asia. Their open design makes them perfect for soaking in the atmosphere of Luang Prabang.

Your day begins at 8:30 AM, departing the hotel by Tuk Tuk to the lively Morning Market in the old town. Unlike modern supermarkets, most food here is grown by small-scale farmers and brought in fresh from surrounding villages. Your guide will walk you through the colorful stalls, explain seasonal fruits and vegetables, and help you pick out a few local snacks to try later.

Next, take a short stroll to visit:

  • Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham (New Monastery)
  • The National Museum (formerly the Royal Palace)
  • The Hor Phra Bang, which houses one of Laos’ most sacred Buddha images

Continue by Tuk Tuk through the scenic streets to Wat Visounnalath, one of the oldest temples in the city, known for its distinctive watermelon stupa.

Then ride along the Nam Khan River to the splendid Wat Xieng Thong, an architectural masterpiece and the crown jewel of Luang Prabang’s temples.

End the day with a climb up Mount Phousi, where panoramic views over the town and the Mekong River offer the perfect finale to a culture-rich day.
