Your local guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in Sapa for a short transfer along National Road 4D to your trekking start point.
Begin your trek uphill on a broad, rocky trail, following a narrow valley between two towering mountains. You will pass through the quiet Black H’mong hamlets of Sau Chua and Sa Seng, where families have only recently shifted from a nomadic lifestyle to permanent settlements. Stone-walled homes and simple structures reflect a way of life largely unchanged. We will take a lunch break in one of the villages.
In the afternoon, continue gradually uphill for about an hour, reaching Hang Da Village at 1,800 meters, where sweeping views over Muong Hoa Valley await. Here, you can visit a few local homes and experience daily H’mong life.
Leave Hang Da for a gentle walk along the high ridge, enjoying panoramic valley views as you make your way to Thao Hong Den, another Black H’mong village, ideal for landscape photography and quiet exploration.
From here, descend for about an hour on a dirt trail to Pho Village at the heart of Hau Thao Commune, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Sapa.
